Question, does the rear wiper only work when using the washer?

FYI anyone doing this job. -Do not snug cover bolts down until you seat the harmonic balancer past the seal. This centers the seal on the harmonic balancer and will increase the life of the seal. You will need to pull it back off to tighten two of the small bolts on the driver side of the engine. -Recommend changing the balancer if yours is 20 years old. -RTV is only necessary where the paper gasket meets the oil pan gasket, copper spray a gasket on the paper works great, and not as messy. Not that RTV doesn't work as well. -Really not recommended to put a new chain on old sprockets, the teeth wear significantly. I have never heard of the chain being the cause of a 4.0L failure, but it is good practice just to change it when the timing cover is off. Note, that front crank seal is very difficult to remove with the cover in place. You will probably end up causing additional damage and removing the cover anyways.

Thank you for the vid! Super helpful. On my 95 there are two more 10mm bolts holding a bracket up tight under the window - just take them and the bracket out from the inside. Also there is a rivet holding the divider bar to the door metal - just drill it right out. The bar is plenty secure without it and there's even a hole for it in 97+ but they didn't bother because it's unnecessary.

Let's face it, the Jeep division of Chrysler sucks. Old technology. No parts support just a few years after the models are manufactured, poor design and engineering. Well, old design and engineering. And really stupid design and engineering. Like offering 2 seperate 4 wheel drive systems. One that works, and one that doesn't. And the CV axles between the two are only off 1 inch. So you must have all seperate tools and dies to manufacture the two CV joints, but they are only 1 inch in length apart? How stupid. It's a wonder Chrysler is in business at all. And kinda think they are an American embarrassment of a car company. As a mechanic I'm just going to refuse to work on Chrysler/Jeep Products. They suck.

Those manifold bolts are soo tricky. Ratchet spanners are very useful.

this works on 96 and up 93 to 95 used light not radio waves so no transmitter newer than 1996 will work on a 93 to 95. just went through this to get one for my 95
